Educators have the option of receiving ECU continuing education units (CEUs) at the Eastern North Carolina Literary Homecoming:

Receive 1.0 credit if you attend the whole event, from Friday evening through participating in a writing workshop Saturday afternoon.

Earn .20 CEUs for each of the following events within this year’s program.

• Friday evening program featuring a reading and tribute by novelist Wiley Cash and a reading and acceptance remarks by the 2013 Roberts Award recipient, former NC Poet Laureate Fred Chappell (with a musical tribute by poet Jim Clark)
• Saturday morning panel: Tarheel Literature in Black and White
• Saturday morning panel: Latino/a Writers in North Carolina
• Saturday lunch reading by novelist Anna Jean Mayhew, with the presentation of the 2013 James Applewhite Poetry Prize
• Saturday afternoon writing workshop

Educators who wish to earn CEU credits should register in advance and check the CEU credit box on the registration form. You will be given a credit checklist in your event folder when you arrive. These checklists will be initialed by the session moderator or another ENCLH designee at the end of each event.
